Touch ‘n Go’s Limited Edition Dragon-Themed Card Already Sold Out

Touch ‘n Go’s Limited Edition Dragon-Themed Card Already Sold Out

Touch ‘n Go (TNG) is on a roll, releasing limited edition TNG cards one after another. Just a couple of months after the release of their sleek and beautiful LUXE Card Titan Edition, TNG is kicking off the Lunar New Year with a limited edition Chinese New Year 2024 Enhanced TNG card.

In conjunction with the year of the dragon, the new card features exquisite dragon-themed artwork. To further hammer home the festive theme, the card itself is draped in red. Not only that, the dragon as well as the Touch ‘n Go eWallet and Touch ‘n Go logos are also trimmed with gold, further emphasising its auspiciousness. The company has also come out with a dragon-themed TNG charm as well to go along with the card.

The limited edition dragon-themed enhanced TNG card can be obtained for RM25 while the charm goes for RM30. Both of them can be obtained directly through Touch ‘n Go official Shopee store.

Or should we say “could have been obtained”? That’s right, as of the writing of this article, the limited edition dragon-themed card has already sold out, according to the official Shoppee listing. While the charm is still available for purchase, the card itself has flown off the shelves within the last 24 hours.

Near-Field Communications (NFC) enabled charm

Fortunately, the charm is more than just a decorative ornament. In fact, despite its physical differences, the charm can act as a full-fledged TNG card as well. It can do all the things that the card supports including toll, parking, and public transportation payments, albeit at a slightly higher price point.

Both the card and the charm also support the PayDirect feature that allows charges to be deducted directly from a user’s Touch ‘n Go eWallet account. Thanks to their NFC capabilities, users can check credit balances and top-up directly into them by using the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app but of course, you also need an NFC-enabled smartphone to perform these functions.
