TNG Digital Launches Business Account To Support Micro SMEs

TNG Digital has launched the TNG Digital Business Account. This new service is designed to offer support to micro-SMEs and gig workers with a zero-barrier solution to digitalise their operations, manage income, and grow their businesses securely, all from a mobile device.
The launch was officiated by YB Senator Dr. Hajah Fuziah Binti Salleh, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), alongside Mr. Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital. The launch of this new service marks a significant step forward in ensuring that Malaysia’s underserved and informal business communities have access to digital financial tools.
Fully digital, no paperwork required
TNG Digital Business Account is a fully digital eWallet account issued by TNG Digital. There is no paperwork required for registration – and businesses are not required to pay any fees or deposit any minimum balance.
It is fully designed for all types of small businesses – including SMEs, micro- SMEs (MSMEs), hawkers, informal merchants, and gig workers, who are often excluded from traditional financial services.
Offer access to business accounts for MSMEs
“TNG Digital Business Account was built to address a clear gap. Although micro and small businesses contribute nearly 40% of GDP and support almost half of the nation’s workforce, many still lack access to tools that help them scale and operate efficiently in a digital economy.
“This solution enables them to accept payment, manage transactions and grow their businesses efficiently through their mobile phones,” said Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital.
He also mentioned that many MSMEs have struggled to make do without the proper financial management tools for a long time.
Allow MSMEs to open a business account instantly
This new service seeks to alleviate the issue by removing barriers and allowing SMEs to open an account instantly, receive funds in real time, and make transfers seamlessly across banks and eWallets.
“What we are witnessing is an important step towards creating a more accessible system, especially for those who have previously been left out of the benefits of digital services.
“Initiatives like this are not just about technology, but also about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate in and benefit from the growth of the new economy,” added YB Senator Dr. Hajah Fuziah Binti Salleh, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living.
