Proton Holdings Bhd and smart Malaysia have come together to bring Malaysians the opportunity to get their hands on the Smart #1 electric vehicle (EV) SUV. This makes Malaysia the first ASEAN country to begin order taking for the fully electric SUV.
Smart Malaysia is the regional strategic partner for the smart brand, a leader in technology and premium all-electric automobiles.
In a statement to the press, the company officially announced the booking service via its Hello smart app.
Refundable fee of RM1,000
Bookings can be made through the Hello smart app with a refundable fee of RM1,000.
Additionally, there is an early adopter bonus. The first 501 customers to place a pre-order will be rewarded with charging credits worth RM1,001 when they take delivery of their new EV.

The smart #1 will be offered in three different variants. These include the entry-level Pro, the mid-level Premium, and the high-performance version known as Brabus.
Estimated price between RM200k to RM250k
At the moment, smart Malaysia is only providing an estimated price range of between RM200,000 and RM250,000. This applies for the smart #1 line-up. Do note that this price range estimate is with Sales and Service Tax (on the road, without insurance).
