Budget 2019 is set to be tabled in less than two weeks, and we’re all just waiting to see what Pakatan Harapan will present as its first national budget. Over the last month, we ran a survey among our readers to find out what concerns Malaysians most about their country.

The results are not entirely surprising. Our survey revealed that Malaysians are mainly preoccupied with just making ends meet. We’re also likely to be faced with a very unpopular budget. While the government needs to manage the RM1 trillion national debt, people just want lower taxes and more subsidies.

If anything, the post-budget reaction from Malaysia is going to be the most interesting we’ve had in years.  Watch our discussion with our panel of experts on Budget 2019 below.
