The Malaysia Budget 2013 was unveiled yesterday, filled with goodies and incentives. Market commentators seem to agree that the Budget 2013 will benefit millions of households, while keeping Malaysia on its economic growth path. The Budget 2013 is themed “Prospering The Nation, Enhancing Well-Being of the Rakyat: A Promise Fullfilled”, and focuses on enhancing five key areas, namely investment activities, education, innovation, public service delivery and the well being of Malaysians. Many groups of people will see direct benefits from the Budget 2013. Students and youths in particular will enjoy incentives in the form of book vouchers, one-off cash payment and even rebates on smartphone purchases. Young, budding entrepreneurs will also see more support from newly formed funds to help encourage more entrepreneurship endeavors. We thought it would be useful to dive into the Budget 2013 and visualise some key points that will affect most of us. Read on to see what this year’s budget means for you.
