[Update] New Names Added To Securities Commission’s Investor Alert List

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has added several more names to the Investor Alert List again. For those who do not already know, the Investor Alert List contains the list of unauthorised websites, investment products, companies and individuals.  

The SC has consistently published alert updates several times to ensure that investors are not tricked by disingenuous companies and individuals. These updates include suspected clone entities and unauthorised websites with investment products.

Please take note that this list is not exhaustive and only serves as a guide to investors prior to making any investment decisions.

Since the New Year, seven new names were added to the list, warning potential investors of the dangers of the possibility of untrustworthy actors. These include:

The following person(s)/entity(ies) was/were added to the list as at 8 January 2024:

  1. Sahabat Untung
  2. Potential clone entity – Hong Leong Corp Telegram Group
  3. Pelaburan Smart Malaysia / Smart Trade
  4. Potential clone entity – Pelaburan FXTM Broker
  5. Potential clone entity – I Investment 254
  6. SC-FXBROKER
  7. Master Binary / Sahabat Trader Binary

The list is updated periodically for the public’s reference. The list is available at SC’s website – https://www.sc.com.my/investor-alert. Members of the public are encouraged to alert the SC if you come across any suspicious capital market activities.
