6 Highways, 25 Main Roads In Klang Valley Closed For ASEAN Summit 2025

9Starting this Friday, 23 May 2025, the police will be conducting a series of traffic control operations and road closures in conjunction with the ASEAN Summit 2025.
The closures are set to affect around 6 highways and 25 main roads in the Klang Valley. A dry run will begin on 21 May, leading up to the event.
According to Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, full deployment will begin from 23 May to 26 May and will involve staggered road closures and diversions across the affected roads and highways.
Here is a list of roads that will be closed for the summit:
23 May to 26 May road closure (7am until all the delegates arrive in stages)

- North-South Expressway Central Link (Elite) (KLIA-Putrajaya)
- New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) (Subang-Jalan Duta)

The road closures will be expected to be conducted in phases. Director Mohd Yusri says that each closure will last for approximately 30 minutes to enable the convoy or motorcade of the summit participants and guests from each country to reach the destination on time.
The public is advised not to park their vehicles indiscriminately along the roads involved in the closure to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Additionally, business and heavy vehicles are also barred from entering the city centre from 6.30am to 7.30am and from 4.30am from now until 28 May.
