Ohsem Digital Advertising Fund Gives SMEs Access To Premium Ad Platforms At Affordable Prices

Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil, alongside Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Dettel Asia Group (DTL), and Rev Media Group (REV) recently launched the Ohsem Digital Advertising Fund for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia.

The purpose of the fund is to help SMEs boost their brands and sales beyond social media platforms by making premium content platforms/sites more affordable.

The fund, which is worth up to RM21 million, will give SMEs access to advertising services on sites such as SAYS, Berita Harian, NST, and more at discounted rates of up to 85 per cent.

Advertisements that would normally be worth over RM8,000 would only cost just RM1,000, unlocking a new avenue for SMEs to reach a wider audience and further enhance their brand presence.

“I am delighted because this initiative aims at bridging the gap within SMEs and enables them to use technology as their marketing strategy, encourage development and indirectly highlight local technology companies that can offer solutions to digital marketing.”

“This is especially important as we drive the use of technology among SMEs and try to ensure that local companies are given room to grow,” Fadzil said, during the Ohsem Marketing 360 launch event.

It’s important to note that the OHSEM Digital Advertising Fund is only limited to the first 1,000 entrepreneurs with approved applications. But if you manage to apply, the approval will be given within 48 hours.
