Futu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Moomoo MY) has officially launched its all-in-one super app, Moomoo for the Malaysian public.
The Moomoo investing app is among the first of its kind to be granted the Capital Market Services License, which allows Moomoo to offer securities and derivatives trading and clearing services for both.
Committed to financial inclusivity
According to Robin Xu, Senior Partner, Senior Vice President and Head of Southeast Asia and Oceania of Futu Holdings Limited, Moomoo’s entrance into the Malaysian market underscores its commitment to driving financial inclusivity and empowering various financial markets through technology.
“Guided by our mission of ‘Making investing easier, not alone,’ we strive to promote information equality, accessibility, and value creation within Malaysia’s dynamic economy.
“Through technology, we aim to promote information equality, making investment and wealth management more accessible, and creating value for local investors and capital markets,” said Xu.
Xu also added that thanks to a combination of a young population that is showing interest in self-directed investing and Malaysia’s flourishing fintech landscape, he is confident that Moomoo Malaysia will see the same success they did in Singapore.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Bursa Malaysia, Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift welcomed Moomoo MY’s entry into the Malaysian markets, saying that it’s important for the industry to leverage data and digital tools to make investing more accessible.
Empowering financial literacy
Beyond just providing another platform users can invest in, Moomoo’s super app also provides users with ample opportunities to learn and improve their investing skills.
The super app comes with an array of over 600 free investment courses through a feature called Moo Learn. Here, both novice and experienced investors can have access to valuable educational materials that will help them in their investing journey.
Launch promo for Malaysians
To mark their official launch, Moomoo is also launching exclusive promotions and perks for Malaysian users.
Between now and March 31, 2024, new users who successfully open a Moomoo MY universal account and deposit a total of RM8000 will be eligible for a free Apple share, and those who successfully open a Moomoo MY universal account with a cumulative deposit of RM500 will receive RM100 cash rewards.
