It goes without saying that being adequately covered is a big deal. A majority of Malaysians, or 75%, have no emergency fund, with only 60% having enough savings to last six months.
Worse, about 90% of Malaysians are underinsured, according to Life Insurance Association of Malaysia. This means those who do have some form of life insurance lack sufficient coverage for their loved ones.
