Spend your eMadani credit now if you don’t want to lose it all.
The eMadani initiative gave out RM100 in ewallet credit to eligible Malaysians. If you have not used up this free credit yet, you should do so as soon, the eMadani credit is set to expire tomorrow (1 March 2024); after which any remaining credit will be removed from their ewallet.
According to the eMadani FAQ page by the Ministry of Finance, your eMadani ewallet credit will expire at 11.59pm on 29 February, so make sure to spend that free credit as soon as possible!
The eMadani initiative was originally launched on 4 December 2023 with the goal of encouraging cashless transactions and to ease the financial burden faced by Malaysians. Applications for the free credit were closed on 20 February 2024.
The initiative allowed eligible users to claim their free RM100 in ewallet credit with the following apps: MAE by Maybank2u, Setel, ShopeePay and Touch ‘n Go eWallet.
Do be aware that the eMadani credit is only valid for physical payments only. The credit cannot be used for online purchases and cannot be cashed out. It also cannot be transferred to a different account, cannot be used for parking and/or toll payments, as well as in-app purchases.
