Unifi has announced that the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar subscription price increase will those that watch it through Unifi TV. Those who have Disney+ as an add-on to their Unifi TV subscriptions will continue to pay the same rate.
The announcement comes after Disney announced a global price hike for its streaming service. Malaysians directly subscribing will see the current three-month plan go away, to be replaced by two new monthly subscriptions. The Basic plan for RM24.90/month, and Premium plan for RM39.90/month.
Both plans are mostly identical, although the Premium plan allows more people to stream at the same time – while also offering the option to stream in 4K.
Unifi’s announcement indicates that its customers will be automatically moved to the Disney+ Hotstar Premium plan for no extra charge.
The new Disney+ pricing is set to go into effect on 24 April 2024.
