Regional fintech leader, Boost has joined hands with CelcomDigi to launch the Beyond Card in partnership with the Mastercard network.

This is a rather unique card as it is the first two-in-one international card in Malaysia. This card will let customers access funds fromtheir Boost wallet balance and utilise a pre-approved credit line.

Starting on 9 October 2023, a select few customers will be the first invited to apply for the card. Celcom users can enjoy exclusive access to apply via the Boost app, followed by Digi users in due time.

The Beyond Card by CelcomDigi and Boost offers Shariah-Compliant flexible payments via a credit facility in a responsible manner. It is also designed to fill current financial gaps in Malaysia. Target customers are those without cards or with basic offerings with a more premium experience.

Additionally, the card is also the first in Malaysia and Southeast Asia to offer Mastercard Travel Rewards. Qualified customers being able to enjoy attractive rewards such as 12% Cashback from Lazada. Other rewards include 15% off MAS flight bookings, and much more.

The card will also have a built-in Shariah-Compliant PayLater option called Boost PayFlexTM. With it, users  can stretch out payments across 3-month* instalments.

At the same time, they can earn  up to 3x Boost Stars for each ringgit spent via Boost PayFlexTM. Each transaction is also password protected, and emergencies can be handled with instant card freezing. 

To apply, qualified Celcom customers can download the Boost app and create a Premium Wallet account, for free. Then, tap on the ‘Beyond Card’ button on the homepage of the app and complete the necessary application process. Once successfully pre-approved, users will immediately see their virtual card on the app which can be used for online transactions.
