Chapter 4

Let’s Go Glamping This Hari Raya Aidilfitri

What better way to escape the holiday crowds during the extra long Hari Raya weekend than heading to the great outdoors in Malaysia.  Hari Raya lands on a Wednesday and Thursday in 2024, thus giving us a 5-day weekend if you decide to take Friday off.

Our country’s rich tropical beauty is best enjoyed up close and a camping vacation is a healthy holiday option. However, us city folks may have never pitched a tent or started a campfire, let alone cook our meals without our modern creature comforts.

Glamping is the perfect solution for the city dweller craving a little fresh air surrounded by nature. ‘Glamorous’ and ‘camping’ combines to provide the experience of camping with resort-style services.

The glamping craze started in Malaysia some years back and there is now a wide range of options for those looking for a nature getaway during the long Hari Raya weekend.
