MYAirlines No Longer Operating Due To Financial Troubles

MYAirlines, a Malaysian low-cost airline has announced their suspension of operations, which will be effective immediately today (12th October 2023).

The announcement was made through their Facebook page, where MYAirlines released a statement regarding the suspension of their operations.

In the statement, MYAirline stated that their financial troubles has pushed them to the point of no return, with their board of directors having no other alternatives than to make this decision.

“The airline has come to this extremely painful decision because of significant financial pressures that have made it necessary to suspend operations pending the shareholder restructuring and recapitalization of the airline,” said MYAirline in its statement.

Before this, Business Times claimed that MYAirline were facing financial problems, to the point that they were struggling to pay service providers and employees on time.

However, they were given some room for optimism as the board of directors have seemingly managed to find a potential new investor.

Unfortunately, the investor pulled out at the last minute, leaving MYAirlines with no choice but to suspend operations immediately.
