Malaysia’s first international financial district has officially welcomed its first major company into the development.
Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd (PAMB) now has all five of its businesses together under one roof in Menara Prudential located within Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).
“This is a big milestone for IJM as Menara Prudential is the first building to be completed and occupied in TRX,” IJM Corporation Berhad CEO & Managing Director Liew Hau Seng told reporters at the launch.
According to a statement issued by PAMB, Menara Prudential in TRX is a Grade A, LEED Gold-certified and MSC-status green office building which is owned and developed by IJM.
It will house the following PAMB businesses:
- Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd
- Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd
- Eastspring Investments Bhd
- Eastspring Al-Wara’ Investment Bhd
- Prudential Services Asia
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng who inaugurated Menara Prudential highlighted the importance of insurance playing a bigger role in building financial resilience among Malaysians.
“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Prudential on their 95th anniversary in Malaysia.
“We look forward to more initiatives from Prudential to further bolster our relationship in protecting Malaysians,” he said.
Malaysia is also the longest operating market for Prudential in Asia, where the company has been serving its community for more than 95 years.
