It turns out that your little bundle of joy is going to cost you a lot of money.

According to our previous article, parenthood doesn’t come for cheap. From pregnancy to one year old, expect to fork out at least RM15,000.

With the impending GST less than a month away, parents can expect higher household cost, as various things which were not previously taxed (read: formula milk for toddler) will be taxed 6% at every supply level.

How much will the increase be? It is still unclear, but this infographic shows some of the common things that parents need for their children.

Shocked? Yes, we are too. It makes sense to prepare yourself financially for GST. Sometimes, buying in bulk may save you some cash — at least for a little while.

Plan for your finances better. Here’s how medical insurance for your child can help you.

Lower your expenses like a pro with the right credit card. Let us help you find the best card!
