If you’re an avid train user, rejoice. Thanks to a new advance ticket sales system, you will now get to buy tickets for the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad’s (KTMB) Electric Train Service (ETS) and Intercity services 6 months in advance.
“Currently, ticket sales are open until December 31, 2023. This new ticket sales concept will start on July 30, when customers can purchase tickets for travel up to January 2024.
“Next month, on August 30, 2023, it will be open for travel until February 2024,” the KTMB said in a statement.
The KTMB also said that this new ticket system will allow commuters to plan their journeys six months in advance, which is a big boon for them, especially during festive seasons such as Hari Raya or Christmas.
If you’re looking to try out the new system for yourself, you can purchase your tickets through the KTMB mobile app or through their website. However, do remember that tickets for the ETS and Intercity train services only start at noon.
