Dropee And BSN Partner To Launch Digital Niaga Programme

In an effort to address supply chain challenges and provide faster funding for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Dropee, a homegrown business-to-business e-commerce specialist has partnered with Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) to launch the Digital Niaga programme.

Digital Niaga is a MSME commerce initiative designed to assist MSMEs navigate an increasingly complex marketplace in Malaysia, and also help them tap into the burgeoning internet economy in Malaysia, which is projected to contribute 22.6% to Malaysia’s gross domestic product (GDP).

A press release circulated today states that in this programme, BSN will collaborate with Dropee to identify MSMEs to participate in the Digital Niaga programme. Qualified MSMEs will then undergo training to implement digital and technological solutions in their business. 

RM300 million worth of financing

The Digital Niaga programme will target around RM300 million worth of financing for MSMEs, while also providing bespoke solutions such as a revolving supply chain financing to address their business needs.

Through the Digital Niaga programme, MSMEs will have a chance to be a part of Dropee’s e-commerce platform, which is the largest online B2B marketplace in Malaysia. This opportunity will also allow them to utilise plenty of digital tools to help them automate their everyday business operations.
