Fundsupermart.com’s risk rating comes in the range of 0 to 10 with 0 being the least risky and 10 being the riskiest. And naturally the higher the risk, the higher the potential return.

Equity Funds Risk Rating: 7 – 10

Equity Funds are funds that are mainly invested in equity securities including common stocks, preferred stocks, warrants and debt securities convertible into common stocks.

Balanced Funds Risk Rating: 5 - 6

Balanced Funds are funds that have a mix of Money Market, Fixed Income and Equity Funds. Similar to Equity Funds, the riskier funds in this category cater to niche investors such as those who wish to participate in specific regions or sectors.

Fixed Income Funds Risk Rating: 1 – 5

Fixed Income Funds are funds that are mainly invested in fixed income securities such as corporate or government bonds. Bond is a debt investment which an investor lends money to either company or government.

(You will need to update your EPF account number into your FSM investment account. To update your account, click on My Investments > Update Account > Account Details. After you have updated your account, the EPF payment method will be available when you next make a purchase.)


All purchase orders with payment through EPF Account 1 will only be processed after FSM receives the following documents:

  • KWSP 9N (AHL) form
  • Fund houses Account Opening and Subscription Forms and In-House Subscription Form
  • A copy of IC (both front and back) on a piece of A4 paper

For cash investments, you can choose to receive your redemption proceeds either by

  • Cheque by mail
  • GIRO Transfer

(For payment made with EPF savings through EPF Account 1, the redemption proceeds will be credit back into your EPF Account 1 within 10 business days by the fund house.

Fees and charges

There will be 2 charges that you will incur:

  • Sales charge: From 0% to 2% for all funds on Fundsupermart.com
  • Annual expense: A 0.2% platform fee will be charged for selected bond funds

Explanations of returns

Fund performance as a percentage figure is given over four time periods, 6-month, 1-year, 2-year and 3-year (up to the latest closing date).

  • 6-month: Total return from the latest 6 months
  • 1-year: Total return from the latest 1 year
  • 2-year: Total return from the latest 2 years
  • 3-year: Total return from the latest 3 years
