Head of Marketing Strategy

Founded in 2012, iMoney is a leading fintech marketplace in Southeast Asia for consumer financial and utility products. iMoney has recently been acquired by Juristech, a leading Malaysian-based fintech company in Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and beyond. This acquisition will greatly enhance iMoney's ability to serve our customers even better. Today, we help 20 million people annually with their financial needs and empower them to make intelligent decisions on money matters. We provide an accessible and secure space for them to learn, compare financial products, check their credit score and keep in touch with the latest personal finance news and tips.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing marketing strategies and solutions for clients to meet their campaign and business objectives
  • Develop and work with media partners on media strategies to ensure maximum reach, effectiveness, share of voice, CPC, CTRs, and other marketing ROIs for iMoney and our clients
  • Oversee preparation of client briefs, internal briefs, contact reports, campaign checklists, and client reports
  • Join in and attend client pitches with the Business Development team
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
  • Analyse key metrics and tweak strategy for different campaigns and channels as needed, and oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and/or annual performance reports with ROI for management/clients
  • Work closely with the CMO to drive marketing activities and initiatives for iMoney campaigns
  • Manage and oversee the Financial Services Marketing team and have oversight over marketing team components to drive this business area
  • Be a key member of the iMoney management team to contribute to the overall company strategy and direction, as well as share learnings and best practices with the wider business
  • Ensure compliance with local authority guidelines, BNM guidelines, advertising guidelines and other relevant guidelines

Affiliate Partnerships:

  • Develop programmes and commercials for affiliate partners
  • Identify and source partnership opportunities to specifically generate new leads for the business
  • Oversee negotiation and finalisation of partnerships
  • Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners
  • Keep great, ongoing relationships with current partners and offer new ways to grow

Skills & Requirements

  • Must possess at least a professional certificate, diploma/advanced/higher/graduate diploma, bachelor's degree/post-graduate diploma/professional degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, business studies, mass communication, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of broad marketing and/or agency experience, and 2+ years’ experience in managing client projects
  • Experience in managing and leading a team is required
  • Excellent command of English with good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Well organised with an eye for detail and tenacious in character
  • Interest in and knowledge of general consumer finance topics is highly advantageous
  • An innovative team player who is dynamic, motivated, and-process oriented with the determination to succeed
  • Understanding of the banking and finance industry is a bonus
  • Good at building relationships across a variety of levels
  • Possess strong negotiation and presentation skills
