Job Description

The Role:

    New Member Acquisition:
  • Develop email strategy, including automated workflows
  • Manage the creation, production, scheduling, and execution of campaigns, working with design and copywriting teams on creative treatments
  • Analyze key audience segments to identify opportunities for increased engagement
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Develop and maintain an email calendar
  • Develop guidelines and recency rules
  • Deliver volume growth from Prospect and External email channels whilst achieving ROI through optimisation and lead generation growth
  • Improve and integrate more automation into the email campaign creation process
  • Plan monthly and quarterly email marketing strategy to deliver on targets
  • Delivering detailed insightful analysis concerning response through the customer journey, new member acquisition, ROI and persistency
  • Provide insight to the commercial, online sales and marketing team identifying opportunities for growth
  • Decrease costs by using relevancy and engagement techniques
  • Work closely with IT team to develop and execute an email marketing technical roadmap of functional and technological email marketing improvement of capabilities
  • Work with database administrators to manage the flow of data between internal databases and the marketing automation platform

Testing & Analysis:

  • Testing across the full range of variables e.g. time/day, subject line, copy
  • Analyse and interpret KPIs of abandon, prospect and external email campaigns, using the insight to inform and develop strategy
  • Working with in house data team to on weekly reporting to deliver data insights
  • Compile ad hoc reports and presentations to share learnings and deliver insight to the wider sales and marketing team each week
  • Use both in-house and external reporting tools to evaluate campaigns at all levels
  • Update and evolve testing plan, engagement plan and management plan based on key learnings from data insight
  • Monitor email campaign deliverability, ensuring high inbox success rates
  • Maintain 90+ Sender Score
  • Standard Communications:
  • Ensure iMoney brand guidelines are being adhered to across email communications, ensuring consistent brand messaging, imagery and tone of voice
  • Liaise with contact centre to ensure consistency across all customer communications, and providing them with required marketing material to assist with new member acquisition queries or retention saves and up/ cross sell activity
  • Skills & Requirements

    • 5+ years, in-depth knowledge of Email marketing, and online marketing industry
    • Knowledge of segmentation and customer database marketing desirable
    • Understanding of marketing strategies and techniques
    • Experience with Major Email Service Providers (such as GetResponse) is a must
    • Experience of managing e-mail programmes with successful track record achievement
    • Knowledge of HTML preferred and SQL databases
    • Proficient in the use of MS Windows and MS Office Suite including Outlook Express, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau
    • General knowledge and awareness of other digital channels
    • Detailed understanding of email campaign management and strategy planning
    • Experience of testing across the full range of variables e.g. time/day, subject line, copy, design etc
    • Knowledge of financial services industry is an advantage
    • Experienced in driving commercial objectives and targets
    • Must have the ability to analyse and interpret KPIs with confidence
    • Ability to present marketing concepts, propositions and statistical analyses to all levels
