From 2025 onwards, all Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) contributors will not have to pay for medical treatment at panel clinics for work-related accidents and occupational diseases. This announcement<\/a> was made by the Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the minister, there are approximately 1,400 Perkeso panel clinics nationwide. Contributors will be able to walk into any of these clinics and get free medical treatment. Previously, one would have to fork out around RM150 to RM200 for each treatment before being able to claim the amount back from Perkeso.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are a Perkeso member, all you need to do is show your ID card for the clinic to check. You would thus be able to receive treatment without having to pay a single sen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Members can still seek treatment at non-panel clinics and apply for reimbursement of expenses incurred. According to Perkeso<\/a>, application can be made to SOCSO and the reimbursement is subject to Fees Act 1951.<\/p>\n
