Tune Protect has just announced some new benefits for its AirAsia Travel Insurance customers. These include a new Delay Lounge Pass, which offers customers access to\u00a0 over 1,500 airport lounges worldwide when flights are delayed by two hours or more. <\/span><\/p>\n

These benefits are available exclusively for customers purchasing or opting in for either one of the AirAsia Travel Insurance plans. Plans covered include the Value Pack, Premium Flex, and AirAsia Plus for flights departing from or arriving in Malaysia and Thailand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Better AirAsia Travel Insurance coverage<\/h4>\n

This new benefit seeks to ensure that customers are able to enjoy beyond the usual travel insurance benefits that AirAsia guests can expect.\u00a0 Aside from gaining monetary compensation due to delayed flights, customers are also compensated with the ease and comfort of airport lounges to make the most of their waiting time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Added benefits of Delay Lounge Pass<\/h4>\n

Customers can enjoy the Delay Lounge Pass benefit by following these simple steps:\"Delay<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Purchase or opt in for travel insurance: <\/b>Customers must purchase any of the AirAsia Travel Insurance plans (Value Pack, Premium Flex, AA Plus) while booking their flight.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Complete registration:<\/b> After purchase, customers will receive a thank-you email along with an email for lounge registration. Customers must register their upcoming flights using the unique code received via the lounge registration email before departure.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Flight tracking confirmation:<\/b> Once registered, customers will receive an acknowledgement email confirming that their flight is being tracked via FlightStats.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Receive Lounge Access voucher:<\/b> If their flight is delayed by two hours or more, customers will automatically receive a delay notification along with a digital lounge access voucher upon arrival at the airport. The voucher can be used immediately.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How to use Delay Lounge Pass voucher<\/h4>\n

    In the event that the flight is delayed, but customers do not utilise the voucher that was issued, it will still be valid for one-time use within 30 days from the issuance date at any of the 1,500 airport lounges worldwide. However, the Delay Lounge Pass voucher is uniquely assigned to the registered travellers and is non-transferable. If customers are purchasing insurance plans on behalf of their travel companions, they must ensure that the information is accurately registered.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Tune Protect has also enhanced its travel insurance features in the AirAsia Travel Insurance plans by introducing TravelFlex Lite. This affords customers a flexible cancellation benefit in the event of unforeseen circumstances. TravelFlex Lite benefit reimburses the cost of the flight tickets up to RM500 if customers are unable to travel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
