The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has announced that they will be granting tax payers a six month grace period to help them with the implementation of the new e-invoicing measures.<\/p>\n

In a press release posted on their Facebook page, LHDN stated that they understand the time that businesses and taxpayers will need to implement e-invoicing, therefore they are allowing a six month grace period to help smoothen the implementation process.<\/p>\n

In the press release, LHDN also stated that during the six month grace period, taxpayers are also allowed to;<\/p>\n

  1. Submit a consolidated e-invoice for all their transactions, and<\/li>\n
  2. Fill in the \u2018Product description and service\u2019 section with any transaction description.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    LHDN also stated that no penalties or fines will be imposed during the grace period, and they hope that the grace period will help businesses find ample time to properly and smoothly implement the e-invoicing measures.<\/p>\n
