Dubbed the CelcomDigi Metaversity, this tool utilises the metaverse, extended reality (XR), and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, to help boost the development of Malaysia\u2019s future talents\u2019 AI-based emerging technologies expertise and spur the innovation of digital solutions for academia and enterprises.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CelcomDigi Metaversity will make use of cutting edge technology to supplement tertiary education. This allows students to have hands-on digital learning experiences in a virtual world and deepen their technical expertise for these in-demand competencies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The immersive learning modules offered by this initiative will let students apply their skills and create innovation opportunities across industry sectors such as healthcare, engineering, robotics, cybersecurity and more. Students who enrol in CelcomDigi\u2019s Metaversity\u2019s immersive learning course will be given a metaverse certification by VIRNECT and XRA upon completion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, CelcomDigi has implemented Metaversity in multiple use-cases in various faculties with six local universities, such as virtual museum, medical teaching hospital, car manufacturing, robotics, cyber security, and oil and gas engineering. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The collaboration is also intended to drive the adoption and implementation of innovative metaverse, XR, and AI learning and education solutions across 21 universities nationwide.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Universities that have pledged to adopt CelcomDigi Metaversity\u2122 learning modules<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Malaya (UM)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Teknologi Mara (UTM)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MAHSA University<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cMetaverse learning and education is an innovative method that opens many possibilities for our future talents to seize and experience.
