This is basically a digital version of the arrival cards that are sometimes given during flights overseas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malaysia has begun implementing this measure as part of the control and enforcement measures under the nation\u2019s Visa Liberalisation Plan. These include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All Singaporean citizens<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Holders of diplomatic and official passports<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malaysian permanent residents and long term pass holders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brunei General Certificate of Identity (GCI)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Members of Brunei-Malaysia Frequent Traveller Programme (BMFTP)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thailand border pass holders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Holders of Indonesian cross-border pass (PLB)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How-do-you-register-for-the-Malaysia-Digital-Arrival-Card\"><\/span>How do you register for the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any foreign traveller who is un-exempted will be required to fill out the MDAC on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/imigresen-online.imi.gov.my\/mdac\/main\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Immigration Department&#8217;s website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> within three days prior to planned arrival in Malaysia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the time being, there will be a grace period until 31 December for foreign travellers to complete the MDAC upon arrival within Malaysia. However, starting from 1 January 2024, the form must be completed prior to arrival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon arrival in Malaysia, foreign travellers must present a valid passport and a completed MDAC arrival card for validation before heading through the immigration counter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a simple checklist summary of the points above.<br \/>\n1.Complete and submit MDAC within 3 days before arriving in Malaysia<br \/>\n2. For first time visitors, you need to enrol and verify your passport at the counter. You can use the autogate for your departure if you have successfully enrolled after arriving.<br \/>\n3. For returning visitors, complete and submit MDAC within 3 days of arrival. You can directly use the autogate for both your arrival and departure.<br \/>\n4. Submitting the form is free of charge. This facility is only available to passport holders with at least 6 months validity.
