{"id":58958,"date":"2023-10-03T14:33:12","date_gmt":"2023-10-03T06:33:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress-my-161844363.ap-southeast-1.elb.amazonaws.com\/articles\/?p=58958"},"modified":"2023-10-03T17:40:11","modified_gmt":"2023-10-03T09:40:11","slug":"touchngo-duitnow-qr-merchant-fees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/touchngo-duitnow-qr-merchant-fees","title":{"rendered":"Touch &#8216;n Go Will Not Impose Additional Fees For Merchants Using DuitNow QR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) announced that micro and small businesses will continue to benefit from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/duitnowqr-fee-waiver-msme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DuitNow QR payment fee waivers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since then, Touch &#8216;n Go (TnG) has also announced that it will continue to waive transaction fees and charges for all merchants accepting payments via the DuitNow QR payment service until further notice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nst.com.my\/news\/nation\/2023\/10\/962207\/no-extra-charge-duitnow-qr-payments-touch-n-go#:~:text=No%20extra%20charge%20for%20DuitNow%20QR%20payments%2D%20Touch%20'n%20Go\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> made today, TNG Digital Sdn Bhd (TNGD) said that a reasonable merchant fee is to for the industry to cover upkeep costs for payment systems. This includes support services for cybersecurity and fraud prevention in the long run.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, it confirms that no additional fees will be implemented for its merchants for the time being.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>TNGD chief executive officer Alan Ni said that this move aligns with their company&#8217;s role as the leading digital wallet provider in Malaysia. He added that TNGD always strives to ensure that their payment services are accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet), which operates DuitNow QR, has also made a statement to clarify that no fee will be imposed for using the payment transfer
