The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has extended the final redemption period of the RM300 flight tickets digital voucher for public university students until the end of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

In their statement, the ministry also clarified that the voucher can be used even after the final redemption date.<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative, named FLYsiswa, was <\/span>first announced last month<\/span><\/a>, as a way to help students travel to and from their hometowns.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the announcement, it was mentioned that the redemption period will be until the 31st of October 2023. However, in a statement earlier this week, the ministry announced that they will be extending the redemption period until 31st December 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

“As part of the National Month celebration, this assistance is a Unity Government initiative aimed at enhancing ties between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah, Sarawak, as well as Labuan.<\/span><\/p>\n

It also addresses cost of living concerns through the Malaysia Madani aspiration,” the ministry said in a statement earlier this week.<\/span><\/p>\n

The statement also said that the initiative will be implemented starting earlier this week, and students can verify their eligibility for the vouchers by going to MoT’s website at <\/span>https:\/\/subsidiudara.mot.gov.my<\/span><\/a>\/<\/span><\/p>\n

Students who meet the eligibility criteria can get flight tickets from various participating airlines, including Malaysia Airlines, MASwings, FireFly, AirAsia, Batik Air, and MYAirline.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to MoT, only students who are enrolled in public universities until the academic year 2022\/2023, by June 30, 2023 are eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n

“If they are ineligible, they can verify and appeal to the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) through their respective universities,” it added.<\/span><\/p>\n

“If the ticket price is lower than RM300, any remaining value from the digital voucher will be retained in the credit shell and can be utilised for future ticket purchases,” MoT added.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
