Go to the section below on how to check your STR status.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If this is your first time to apply, we have a simple guide here to help you sort it out as well.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How-to-apply-for-Sumbangan-Tunai-Rahmah-STR\"><\/span>How to apply for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This cash aid programme is only open to Malaysian citizens staying in the country who are eligible.<\/p>\n<h4>Who is eligible for STR?<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first thing you want to do if you have been rejected for your STR, is you should recheck the eligibility requirements of STR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are eligible for STR if you fit any of the following criteria;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malaysian with an income of RM5000 and below for a household and a single elderly person.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malaysian with an income of RM2500 and below for a single person.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you fit any of the above criteria, then you are eligible for the STR payout.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>How much is the STR cash aid?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Households with income under RM2,500<\/strong><br \/>\nNo children: RM 1,000<br \/>\n1-2 children: RM 1,500<br \/>\n3-4 children: RM 2,000<br \/>\n5 or more children: RM 2,500<\/li>\n<li><strong>Households with income from RM 2,501 to RM 5,000<\/strong><br \/>\nNo children: RM 500<br \/>\n1-2 children: RM 750<br \/>\n3-4 children: RM 1,000<br \/>\n5 or more children: RM 1,250<\/li>\n<li><strong>Senior citizens without spouses or children with income under RM5,000<\/strong> (age 60 and above): RM600<\/li>\n<li><strong>Single individuals or OKU without children with income under RM2,500<\/strong> (21 to 59 years old): RM600<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Documents you need to apply for STR<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For applying under household as a couple<\/strong><br \/>\nCopy of your own and your partner&#8217;s MyKad, birth certificate or passport<br \/>\nCopy of the Marriage Certificate issued by the Department of Islamic Religion State\/National Registration Department (JPN)<\/li>\n<li><strong>For applying as single applicant\/ widow\/ widower\/ divorcee<\/strong><br \/>\nCopy of MyKad<br \/>\nCopy of the Marriage Certificate issued by the Department of Islamic Religion State\/National Registration Department (JPN); or<br \/>\nCopy of spouse&#8217;s Death Certificate issued by JPN; or<br \/>\nDivorce\/Dissolution of Marriage Certificate (original and certified copy) issued by the State Department of Islamic Religion\/JPN; or Copy of Certificate of Decree Nisi\/Absolute Decree Nisi issued by the Court<br \/>\nCopy of OKU Card issued by the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) for applicants aged 19 to 20 years old in 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>For children applying under either category above<\/strong><br \/>\nCopy of MyKad\/MyKid<br \/>\nCopy of Birth Certificate or Adopted Child Registration Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>STR application steps<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to the STR portal at https:\/\/bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my<\/li>\n<li>For new applicant, click on &#8216;Permohonan Baharu &#8216;<\/li>\n<li>Type in the information requested which includes IC number, home address, mobile number, marital status, bank and account number, beneficiary and their information.<\/li>\n<li>Upload the documents requested at the bottom of the page.<\/li>\n<li>Click on &#8216;Teruskan&#8217; and complete the user verification step (Captcha code).<\/li>\n<li>Once the application is successfully submitted, you will receive the message to register your MySTR account to check your application status online.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also apply manually at your nearby LHDN or UTC branch. Remember to bring along the original and copy of the documents you need to submit.<\/p>\n<p>Applications can be made throughout the year but the cash aid distribution will be made according to the schedule set by LHDN.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Checking-your-STR-status\"><\/span><b>Checking your STR status<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So you think you should be receiving your STR anytime soon, but all your friends have gotten theirs, while you\u2019re still waiting. So what do you do now? Simple, you check your status to see if you actually qualify for the STR payout.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do you do that? Refer to the eligible requirements above.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Appealing-your-STR-status\"><\/span><b>Appealing your STR status<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want to appeal your STR status? Here\u2019s how you do it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The two methods that you can appeal your STR status is as follows;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Online application through the official STR <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Physical application at your nearest LHDN office.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is recommended that you use the online application process, as it is safer and faster than the physical application process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the appeal process, you\u2019re going to need to provide some supporting documents as proof of your changed status.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the documents that you might need to provide is a copy of your own or your partner\u2019s MyKad, a copy of your children\u2019s MyKid or MyKad, a copy of your child\u2019s birth certificate, and other documents that will be announced by LHDN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STR is a good initiative to ensure that every Malaysian has all the help they need for their livelihood.
