In a <\/span>statement<\/span><\/a> released yesterday, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) announced that they are offering a 70% discount on all compoundable summonses starting from today, 18th August 2021 to 16th September 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

The discount is being offered in conjunction with this year\u2019s 64th National Day Celebration theme, \u2018Malaysia Prihatin\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is to help reduce the financial burden of Malaysians in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the discount does not apply to non-compoundable summonses, such as cases that were still under mention in courts, or cases with the status of arrest warrants and trials.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to JPJ\u2019s statement, the discount is applicable to all summonses that were issued under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) and the Commercial Vehicles Licencing Board Act 1987 (Act 334), which includes blacklisted cases.<\/span><\/p>\n
