Let\u2019s look at how you can get right into it,\u00a0 before the May 15, 2023 deadline!<\/p>\n<p>Right now, you need to be filing your taxes through the online system. If you have not done this before, you will need to activate your e-filing option.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Register-on-e-Daftar-and-get-your-TIN-number\"><\/span>Register on e-Daftar and get your TIN number<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First, you need to open a tax file and get your tax identification number &#8211; TIN (if you don\u2019t already have one).\u00a0 This can be done via the <a href=\"https:\/\/mytax.hasil.gov.my\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyTax<\/a> website. Go to the site and open the e-Daftar section for tax registration. Follow the instructions and submit the required documents. Keep track of your submission by taking not of your reference number. Once approved, you will be issued a TIN.<\/p>\n<p>For the most part, your employer\u2019s HR department should have already sorted this out for you. In that case, you will need to request for an e-filing PIN in order to register your account. But that\u2019s okay. Most of us operate on different pay grades. While you might be a tax neophyte, some of your colleagues and friends might be experts at filing their taxes. Given its complexity, they\u2019d be happy to help you out and give you some pointers and tips based on how they did theirs.
