If you’re well-versed in pop-culture, you have probably heard the word ‘credit score’ copious times on American TV. But is knowing your credit score just as important in Malaysia? Yes, it is.<\/p>\n

iMoney, Malaysia’s leading fintech platform has launched a free and easy-to-use credit score calculator on its site. The aim is to\u00a0assist Malaysians in checking their credit score and assessing their financial health. Aside from the score, the calculator also gives you a full report on your financial standings and provides personalized tips on how to improve your credit health.<\/p>\n

During the launch, which was held at Common Ground Damansara Heights, Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Intelligent Money Sdn Bhd (iMoney), Lee Ching Wei said, \u201cWe are extremely excited to offer iMoney Credit Score for free to millions of Malaysians,”<\/p>\n

\u201cWhilst an annual medical check-up is the norm among Malaysians, our goal is to encourage Malaysians to also do the same for their financial health. With iMoney Credit Score, consumers can now assess if they are on track to achieve their financial goals, be it looking for their first credit card or loan, buying their first car or bike, getting married, buying their first home, or saving for the future,”<\/p>\n

\u201cFurthermore, consumers with higher scores can also benefit from more attractive credit and financial products enabling them to save more money and improve their financial well-being,” he explained.<\/p>\n

Since the launch of the beta version, iMoney has helped\u00a0about 10,000 Malaysians successfully obtain their credit score for free. The\u00a0iMoney CreditScore is powered by credit reporting agency RAM Credit Information (RAMCI), a leading credit reporting agency in Malaysia.<\/p>\n

In conjunction with the launch, and consistent with the theme of \u201cCredit Health\u201d, iMoney is offering up to 100 free Mi Amazfit fitness smartwatch worth RM279 each –\u00a0in partnership with RHB Bank. The offer is open to anyone who applies for a free iMoney CreditScore and subsequently obtains an RHB Easy loan between August 23 and October 23, 2018.
